Carrie Carter loves Japan, cats, sumo, dioramas and eating unusual foods. She and her husband, Jim, have traveled to Japan 14 times, and her many holidays there inspired her first book, “Whiskers Abroad: Ashi and Audrey’s Adventures in Japan. Carrie, who also plays in the band Molly and the Ringwalds, is a marathon runner and has run the Tokyo Marathon. Carrie and Jim live with an adorable cat named Frenemy, who was unhappy at not being selected as the model for the book.
