Janice Wald Henderson says she really came alive at the age of 5 when she first sipped a chocolate malt at the corner soda fountain. That joy for good eats met her passion for wanderlust when she spent a teenage summer living solo in Paris. She’s devoted her life to exploring world cultures through cuisine. As a food and travel journalist, she’s earned four national journalism awards, visited 95 countries – many numerous times – and, as an ardent cruiser, sailed all seven seas. Among her credits, authoring two cookbooks, penning internationally syndicated articles, appearing on national and Los Angeles-based television programs, and contributing to leading American magazines such as Bon Appétit and Condé Nast Traveler. And yes, she still loves chocolate malts.
