Memories that Move You: Highlights of Silversea’s 2027 – 2028 Voyage Collection
Today, we continue to embrace our journeys with a significant distinction: It’s the immersive experiences in countries and interactions with their cultures that helps us place our personal puzzle pieces in the context of new worlds. To me, that’s the beauty of immersive travel. What happens when we interact with the world, when we are invited in and allowed to become a part of it, our view of the planet broadens. The experiences enhance our understanding of how and where we fit in the story that is our world.
And that’s what guests will discover among Silversea’s just-announced voyage collection, “Memories that Move You” including itineraries in summer 2027 and again from February 2027 to May 2028. Silversea is, of course, known for the luxury of smaller vessels that allow it to slip into ports the big ships cannot reach. Its scale also means an unwavering emphasis on the kinds of details that guarantee indelible memories, no matter the length of the cruise. Much of that stems from the opportunities to experience a place that then becomes part of our shared history.
Travel is a huge part of creating the “Memories that Move You.”
By the numbers: Silversea’s “Memories that Move You” collection features 414 new voyages on 12 ships, visiting all seven continents. Ranging from six to 77 days in duration, the new sailings include 271 classic voyages and 143 expeditions to over 600 of the world’s most iconic and off-the-beaten path destinations in more than 100 countries. There will be 31 maiden calls.
Highlights from the 2027 – 2028 voyage collection include a trio of new Grand Voyages to creative itineraries in regions that range from the Mediterranean and the Caribbean to Asia and South America. Silversea’s award-winning expedition voyages offer new twists on favorites like the Arctic and Antarctic and introduce travelers to warm-water destinations. And we love the opportunity for immersive culture connection through providing access via festivals and events, ranging from Rio’s iconic Carnival to Japan’s off-the-global-grid Awa Odori, the country’s largest dance festival.
Grand Voyages 2027 – 2028

What’s different about these trips, lasting 8 to 18 weeks, is that they’re longer than a typical cruise and more focused on a region than circumnavigating the globe. This voyage collection adds three new opportunities for Grand Voyages that will travel to Asia, South America, and the Mediterranean.

Mediterranean 2027: Imagine two months in the Mediterranean on Silver Dawn, on which the S.A.L.T. (Sea And Land Taste) program, the experience that allows guests to sample the cuisine of the destinations on board, creates a culinary connection to the destinations you visit. And guests may try any one of the ship’s seven other restaurants, promising your taste buds daily discoveries.
The backdrop to your voyage: 48 destinations in the Western Mediterranean, the Greek Isles and the Adriatic, including Istanbul, Turkey, which makes itself at home on two continents; the medieval walled city of Croatia’s Dubrovnik; and Morocco’s Casablanca, which promises a whisper of mystery. The depth and breadth of this voyage adds an enormous new chapter to your growing travel story.

Asia 2028: Silver Muse will be your hostess and your home for this 51-day embrace of Southeast Asia, East Asia and Japan. The opportunity to enjoy Japan’s cherry blossom season, a living metaphor for the arc of life, is just the beginning. Guests will be introduced to countries through their cuisines, as part of Silver Muse’s on-board S.A.L.T. program, which turns the fundamental act of eating into a history lesson, an explanation of a culture’s how and why, and, in many cases, the delight of using yet another sense to become not just a visitor but a part of a country.

South America 2028: Silver Ray, the newest of Silversea’s ships, will be your home for 77 days as guests explore the riches of a continent that extend even beyond its architectural and archaeological treasures. Imagine ascending Corcovado, within the city limits of Rio de Janeiro, and finding not only the iconic Christ the Redeemer statue, but a landscape that is part of a UNESCO World Heritage site that spreads out the natural splendors (including botanical gardens that date to 1808) and the magic that is Rio, which pulses with life at sea level but becomes a huge tapestry of nature and man’s creations. And that is just a sample of the adventures, which include horseback riding in the Andes and an introduction to Peru’s Lima, which shares its rich history and its culinary preeminence.
Silversea Expeditions

Embrace the warmth of Australia’s Great Barrier Reef or the chill of both the Arctic and Greenland as well as Antarctica, among other explorations of the extraordinary. New opportunities to experience expedition travel include destinations such as Indonesia to Polynesia. More than 140 Expedition cruises share the secrets of worlds often unknown to us that now become doable and, ultimately, unforgettable.
These are voyages that are both intimate (think encounters with wildlife you have seen only in nature films) and indelible moments, thanks to experts who give context to new destinations that invite your story to intersect with their stories. A view of what once seemed unachievable is one of the enduring gifts of exploration.
Silversea Events and Experiences

If you’ve spoken these words – “One day, I hope to experience a once-in-a-lifetime event. Silversea brings those wishes to the fore, creating itineraries that incorporate iconic — and off-the-grid — festivals and events. This allows the curious traveler to revel in both cultural and nature-focused gatherings, such asas:
Carnivals: In Rio de Janeiro, in Venice, Italy, or in Nice, France, each offers its own take on the lead-up to Lent.
The Monaco Grand Prix: One of the most prestigious Formula 1 competitions, the Formula 1 Grand Prix de Monaco puts the world’s second smallest country on a gigantic stage and places you in a prime position to watch this spectacle against the backdrop of the Riviera.
The Edinburgh Military Tattoo: Held in Scotland’s capital the Tattoo, a word that comes from the Dutch for “turn off the taps,” a signal for military men to leave the pub and head for the barracks, is a soul-stirring pageant of fireworks, military bands, bagpipes and more. It’s set against the backdrop of Edinburgh Castle, once home to Scottish monarchs.
A total solar eclipse: On August 2, 2027, in the Balearic Sea (part of the Mediterranean), when the world will briefly go dark as the moon appears to block the sun. It is an otherworldly illusion, but one that won’t occur again until 2055.
The Puccini Opera Festival: In Tuscany, the Puccini Opera Festival honors Giacomo Puccini, the famous Italian composer. The festival occurs over a two month stretch of summer.
New Year’s Eve in Hong Kong: if you’re keen on welcoming in 2027 with extra spirit with Silversea, plan to be in Hong Kong. Revelers have a ringside seat to the fireworks and other festivities.
Itineraries that reveal new depths of understanding

For the first time, Silversea will offer a summer in Japan, which includes an introduction to Kyoto’s Gion Matsuri, one of three major festivals. Its roots date to the 9th century, and its celebration includes 30 floats that epitomize Japanese craftsmanship and attention to the most minute detail. Their intricacy and delicacy, thanks to Kyoto’s passion for aesthetics, contradict their size, some weighing as much as 12 tons.
The summer voyage also will take in Osaka, a cultural center that’s home to puppet theater, opera, traditional and modern plays and dramas. It also shines brightly at night, thanks to its clubs and bar scenes. On board, Silversea’s S.A.L.T. culinary program will deepen guests’ connections to Japan, with shore experiences including an umami discovery in Osaka and explorations of Kyoto’s regional specialties.
And we love that Silver Nova and Silver Ray, which comprise Silversea’s state-of-the-art Nova class, will introduce you to new voyages in the Caribbean and the Mediterranean, coupled with the S.A.L.T. (Sea And Land Taste) programs that introduce your palate to the wonders of cuisines from those regions you will visit.
